Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

I am currently out of powder coated '63-'66 standard booster brackets. I should have more in about a week.

The '67-'72 steering column will be the correct length for a power steering box from the firewall forward, but I do not know if it is the correct length from the firewall rearward. I have never installed a '67-'72 column into a '63-'66.

The other question I still have though is can I use a steering column out of a 67-72 in the 64 truck when I am converting to your spacer. I have everything from a donor truck. I am still not sure if I will have to cut the shaft and flange or just use the entire donor column?

If I still need to cut the flange I guess I will need one of your flange kits as well. I am ready to paypal you for what ever the total price is. Thanks for your help!

Do you need just the steering box adapter plate, or do you also need the tube and flange? I will send you a PM

you can take the shaft out 0f a 67-72 two piece steering column and it slips right in to the 60-66 column without modification

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

With the 5.3 having a Metric steering pump, I would go with a '81-'86 C series or '87-'91 R series steering box and pitman arm. For the brake booster you can use any of the compatible boosters listed in post #1 and post #183 of the '63-'66 brake booster for sale thread. That list also comes with all of my brake boosters.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Yes they work on a C30. The C30 frame is basically the same as a C10 and C20 frame from the back of the cab forward.

How have you been? Didn't you have hip surgery or something a year or so ago? I saw your post a few days ago about the Panel. Just let me know when you're ready. Thanks for the compliment and Merry Christmas to you as well.

Re: Power Steering Adapter Plates

Hello, This is my very first post on here although I've been reading posts for a while. I have a #'s matching 65 k10 short wheel base fleet side I've been restoring & I'd really like one of your ps conversion brackets. Can I get a bracket price & even the shaft price that you sell. Thank you.
