That orange looks really good. The orange engine in Mike Losh's 'Cloud 9' looks good too. My truck is gray and I painted the engine black and the intake body color. An all gray engine with black accessories would look good. N2Billet's 'Tiffany' build has a sweet orange small block as does Superflysteiny's Pop's 72 build - both with sharp looking orange/black combos. I don't think you could go wrong either way.

yeah I like the orange a lot. I'm still up in the air. I think Im gonna go gray. have any of you base cleared and engine before. everything I can find they just say put a good epoxy primer and it should be good after that

Perfecto!! My control panel hasn't moved but I did get the engine fired up after 2 years. Will try to get up with you,when is a good time?

I finally made some good progress and got a lot of stuff done this weekend

got the tranny cleaned up and finally got the engine and trans in for what I hope is the last time

a pic of the under side of the hood with the PB hood hinges and HART_ROD's hood brackets. the hinges and brackets worked out great!

Was it much harder lining up those hinges with the firewall gutter smoothed? Because don't those hinges usually sit in the gutter?

Yes it was... I had the gutter smoothed before I had the hinges. if its possible do it before hand.
