Vic... It made the max Torque @3200 and max Hp @ 4900... I have to tell you I am VERY happy with these numbers out of a original 67-327... I went against what Allan wanted me to do to try and keep the engine as close to original as possible.. He wanted me to go to a set of Aluminum heads and I wanted to stay with the original Cast heads... So he just did alot of work on the heads to get them to flow better...

He even scolded me again yesterday that if I had changed to the Aluminum Heads we would be making more like 460 HP and over 500 Clb-Torque...

I told him for a street truck and just a driver 400 HP was plenty... LOL

Amen to that, Dan. I'm especially impressed with the torque peak. That's a lot for that size engine and it comes at a usable rpm. I'd be very happy too. Good job!

Re: Raymond

Ok Gang... Over the weekend we started the paint work on some of the parts... I am stoked to get rolling on this... I picked the Truck up for the last time before paint from Chris Carlson's Hot Rods getting a few little thing done and discovered that I hadn't welded the roof seams above the windshield so I dropped it off to a friends Body Shop to have him weld that up... I should be able to get the truck picked up by Friday... I won't be able to work on it this weekend but hopefully next weekend I will be able to start blocking the body for final paint...

It has been a long hard road getting to this point but WAY down the road we can at least now see the end of the tunnel...

Here are a couple pictures of the painted parts...

Re: Raymond

There's a color like that on a 67 Chevy on cover of Classic Truck Magazine April 2016. I haven't had time to crack it open and read any of it yet. Looks like yours is coming along, slow but sure.

Re: Raymond

As soon as the weather warms up it will go fairly quick... that is when the paint will flow and once it is on it is assembly time... YEA!!!!... I predict by the end of March it will be either painted and ready to assemble or real freaking close...
