4wd C60?!

Did ever a thing exist? I just had a crazy notion... how hard would it be to create a 4wd C60 plow truck. I already have the truck, just need to make it 4wd. I know it can be done, it's just a matter of getting the 4wd front axle, transfer case, hubs and if course how much money I want to throw at it. Any input is appreciated

Re: 4wd C60?!

I think the hardest part would be getting a front axle with the right load rating and width, and then matching the gearing.

The drivetrain is only a matter of handling the torque, so a big transfer case out of a military vehicle would be easy. Several of them are divorced too, so you just mount it behind the tranny and connect the shafts.

M936 5T's were selling for less than $4K a couple years ago at auction. 6wd and ready to go. I opted to not buy one because of how freaking huge they are. My C65 is much more manageable.

Oh wow we're getting deep into unfamiliar territory here. That axle looks expensive..and heavy.

Any pictures of the Napco?

Re: 4wd C60?!

It's 9,000lb rated, just like your OEM undriven one.

You don't want to de-rate your truck do ya?

Hahaha nah, she's headed for the shredder unless I can get someone to buy the rest of her. I'm hoping I can get someone to use a lot of the parts. I hate seeing these trucks gets recycled.

He still has them both. I don't think he has done much on the white one for awhile. The orange 67 he still drives a little bit in the summer. The burb doesn't get used much either.
