Seems Like Yesterday "Flashback Tornado"
The Circuit Rider lives - Chevy's are indeed built like a rock. This is the barn that was taken down by "straight-line” winds. The barn was knocked of the foundation by 6-8' in places. It is indeed a miracle but - it looks like my truck experienced slight to moderate damage. If you look closely you will see where a rafter missed the side of the truck by about 1-2 inches. That in itself could have taken the side of the truck out. Compared to many things in life - I see this as one of God's blessings. But the most important thing is no one was hurt and we all have insurance

Look how close the rafter missed the side of my truck - about an inch.

Re: The Circuit Rider Lives!
Lucky, lucky. Now come the hard part of removing the debris from around the truck without shifting anything into it. Good luck

Re: The Circuit Rider Lives!
Wow, a real stroke of luck with that !! Glad to see no damage to a really great looking truck. As mentioned, be really careful when digging the truck out. Would suggest getting that done ASAP to prevent a wind coming up and bringing down the barn totally. Hate to have something shift and end up dinging the paint and/or the body.
Question for you concerning the truck cover. In your first post about the barn coming down I noticed the pic shows the same swing out camper mirrors I have on my '71 4x4. Love'um as I can actually see something behind me. Hard to tell being covered but do you still have the same mirrors currently? What brand of cover and where did you get it from? Looking for a cover for my '71 and have been wondering how well a cover would fit with those mirrors installed. Truck sits in a steel arched building when not in use but being dark blue metallic is is like a dust magnet, LOL.

Re: The Circuit Rider Lives!
Wow, sorry for the loss of the shed. That looks like a fairly old shed that has survived for a while, do you know how old it was? Have you dug the truck out yet?

Re: The Circuit Rider Lives!
The barn belongs to the contractor that is remodeling our house - it looks like it was built in the 50's. It will be this week end before we get the truck out.

They are going to bring in a crane for support as they need to lift the roof area up first.
