Whose using GPS Speedometers?

I have a few sets of wheels that I use throughout the year and a GPS speedometer would work great for me letting me know my speed regardless of the size wheels I'm using.

I'm thinking about getting one from Autometer or Speedhut and was wondering what everyone does with the location on the transmission where the speedo cable plugs into. Once I remove the mechanical speedo cable I'll need to put something in it's place.

I have two speedhut ones.the car has like a freeze plug in the hole. ( took the hole outside piece off ) and on my truck I put a large rubber boot over the out put.kind of like the small ones you have on a crab to plug vent holes up.

The rubber boot may work. I have a TH350 transmission and I want to keep the "bullet" speedometer cable gear housing and plastic gear in it's normal place but just cover the hole.

Thumbs up Re: Whose using GPS Speedometers?

I have the speed hut in mine also. Great speedo. I took a vacuum rubber plug I bought at O Reilly's and put over the mount on the transmission.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Thanks that's what I'm planning on doing.
