Heater hose routing...
There have been several threads as to why a heater hose goes to the water pump are the radiator and I have never seen the answer until today. I was looking for something else in my manual and ran across this.
hope it helps with the routing issues and it also shows the right direction for the heater water valve. You got to love the manual's. They are full of neat stuff.

Wow, I can't say that I've ever seen, or at least, I guess I've never noticed a radiator with at fitting for a heater hose. My truck is set up like the manual in the pictures above, but I have an automatic. I suppose that it could have been changed somewhere down the line before I bought the truck. So, here's a call out for some pictures of each type, and then this thread will really be a reference for the future.

Mines a auto to but have it set up like the manual. I just perfer it better.

I just ran new heater hoses and vacuum lines to my new water valve last last. Did all the vacuum lines from the back of the heat/ ac controller too. Thanks for the answers a few weeks ago Andy
