Power Steering gear box question

Howdy,

In the process of giving new life to the beast (1973 Cheyenne) I took on as a project a few weeks ago, the latest issue is the need for a new power steering gear box and tie bar on the driver side. I found a stock on on O'reilly's for $150 and have seen them go all the way up to $700. This is a hunting/fishing weekend truck, will the O'reilly's one do the job or do I need a more heavy duty, higher ratio gear box?

4x4, 6"lift and 35s

Also which tie rod would work best with the recommended gear box?

Re: Power Steering gear box question

I bought the one from O'reilley's for my truck and I am installing it at the moment. I did find that the frame had a crack in the frame behind the box. My old box was leaking badly.

Re: Power Steering gear box question

I installed the oreily gear box, no issues so far the steering feels a bit tighter now. But overall the gear box is fine in a stock application.
