Covering up the gas tank with bucket seats

What have some of you guys done to cover up the tank area when you have bucket seats and the thing is exposed. I just want a nice clean look and just can't make my mind up. Any pic's would be great also.

Re: Covering up the gas tank with bucket seats

Many carpet vendors offer a color match carpet cover for the fuel tank. That is how I would go if I switched to bucket seats. Not sure what GM did originally.

yes, there was and is a specific carpet that goes over the tank specifically for buckets. There were some eyelets for sale in the parts section a few days ago (these are how the carpet is suspended from the body inside the cab.

The carpet over the tank in the picture is the factory original. I've heard on here that the aftermarket stuff doesn't go as high or fit as well.

After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.

Re: Covering up the gas tank with bucket seats

If I remember correctly mine had cardboard over it originally. Like the glove box stuff.
But like said above if you have carpet I would match that.

Re: Covering up the gas tank with bucket seats

Thanks for the info and the pic 69. That is what I am considering on mine. My ruck has buckets but not the correct ones. Just trying to come up with something that looks good.

I did the basicly same thing except mine it's the speaker box instead of the tank. It's in the bed.
Yes the gas tank cover has a boad panel covered in carpet.
