I used to be on this forum and knew they had these. 3rd one down on the list sounds promising. |

Re: Need advice dash Pad
That's stupid, why sell something thats going to give you a bad reputation, especially when they sell so much stuff for our trucks.

Thought this was a good thread.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...arket+dash+pad If the owner of LMC is consciously pushing that philosophy it's unfortunate.

Re: Need advice dash Pad
Thankfully I didn't have to find a pad, mine was in great shape, just the wrong color. I changed my interior color from maroon to charcoal/graphite. I just cleaned all the old dye off the pad and re-dyed.
Maybe you can find an original pad and just dye it to your color needs. Try salvage yards, Ebay, Craigslists or even the WTB section here on the forum. |

Re: Need advice dash Pad
I have tried the $100 overlays and they are junk - don't lay flat, rub against the doors on the ends, crack in the desert sun, etc.
I am considering removing my dash and taking around to various local upholstery shops to see what they want to recover it. Some seem to have had success with a DIY fill and recover. If they want too much money, I think I will attempt a DIY project. I have a new replacement overlay in the shed which I can go back to if the recover does not work out. |

Re: Need advice dash Pad
Thank you everyone for advice I am buying a used pad in great shape and painting it,
How best to fill and repair 3 screw holes Putty then paint with rino shield paint? Or would I bet best just having it wrapped in vinyl. |

Re: Need advice dash Pad
When I did mine, but it didn't need any repairs, I used Bufords Vinyl & Carpet Dye. See above post #17. It comes in a rattle can. I hear SEM is good also.
