Original suspension questions
I want to take my 72 Blazer back to factory height. Right now it has been lifted 4". Here is a picture of the rear suspension. With the exception of the blocks between the springs and axle (and shocks) does it appear to be original? Was the original spring a 5 leaf like this?

Re: Original suspension questions
The U-bolts in the rear are upside down. Blazers used a square U-bolt that went around the springs, and were fastened to a cast plate.

Re: Original suspension questions
Mine is a '70 Jimmy so this may not be of any help. My rear leaf springs have 5 leafs like yours, but my front springs only have 2 leafs. The suspension on my Jimmy has never been altered from new.

The picture you posted above shows more than 2 leaves per spring. |

Re: Original suspension questions
Front leaf springs definitely not original. Those appear to have some lift to them. The original front springs have an inverted arch (they bow upward). Yours bow downward. The original front springs also are wider at the spring eyes and taper down at the perch location.

Re: Original suspension questions
You have original rear leafs with lift kit blocks and switched out lift kit front spring.
