Thanks for the info Big Block.
I 'm leaning towards the belltech kit that includes the drop shocks and flip kit - after the enlightenment in this post I think I have been persuaded to go the 4/6 route. I would hate to spend all the money and time and not have a noticeable enough drop.

I trimmed it down and smoothed with a grinder until it cleared the wheel weights. Only enough to clear.

Big Block - I'm worried that I'll end up in that same boat and don't want to do it twice
BBC Front tires are 235/75/15 Rears are the same Cheap that drop looks perfect - not too extreme but you can tell - if I can get a better price on the CPPs (other than the 425 I was quoted) I will entertain this option.

Here is a pick I took recently after I have rebuilt the entire brake system...I still need to test but initial feel is much better than with the failed booster.

Up here with shipping, duty and dollar exchange you're not really sure what the price will be until it arrives...I've learned to anticipate close to double to avoid surprises.

How close are you to the border? In the past, I've had stuff shipped to a receiving company just over the border, then I go and bring it across myself. Usually the savings in shipping alone more than makes up for the trip down and back. Not that our dollar is doing well at all, though.... There is a shipping company local to me that will bring it across the border for me, and they are still cheaper than the gas down and back. Might be something like that near you.

Hi Skinny yeah that is an option for me as I'm about 2 hrs away from the border I would just have to do the math and maybe buy some more parts to justify the trip.
Cheap thanks - it looks good in the shade...it looks decent but there is rust but that's last on the list.

You are correct sir. As Jeff stated this is the cheap DJM kit, alot of people have had problems with this kit(i personally havent) so I would recommend a better kit with new ubolts, gusseted adapter bracket and ubolt plate with offset hole for spring pin.

So with a 3 inch spindles, how much of the front spring should cut off ? I have 6 in the rear and want it to set level.

You will probably want to cut a full coil off the front - that should net 5+" total with the spindles.
Since you can't put it back, play it conservative and lop a half coil up front. You can always cut more. Align the un-cut TOP of the coil spring with it's mount - don't worry where the bottom of the coil end sits.

Ok so started tearing it down for new spindles and the brake disc was hard to pull off the rotor, did I do some thing wrong ? it's like the little piston on the disc was out to far and should I take the rubber stop off the a frame ?

Remove the caliper first. Two bolts, probably 3/8" hex.
The rotor and the disc are the same thing, and it is one-piece with the hub. You need to remove the dust cap, cotter pin, and nut to remove the hub/rotor as a unit. This is a good time to clean and re-pack the wheel bearings. Best to read up on how to correctly adjust the wheel bearing, too.

The caliper is what i'm talking about, had to knock it up with a hammer to get it off. Tried to put it back on and the brake pads seem to be to tight to get it to go over the rotor.
