60 C10 with TBI 350 swap/Fuel tank question
So I have a few questions her about this swap. My donor vehicle is a 1987 truck with a 350 and what I believe is a 700R4 combo. So I know you can make your own stand alone harness, my question there is what wires do people get rid of to make it a stand alone one? This will be the first time I have attempted this before. I will also be stealing the front suspension and rear end to swap in to my 60. My next question is what fuel tank have people found that work with this for a 1960-62 swap. I really did not want to spend a fortune for a new tank. I have seen the ones from POL, but this is a budget build so was trying to keep cost down as much as possible. Or is it just as easy to run an external pump with the in cab tank?

Re: 60 C10 with TBI 350 swap/Fuel tank question
So I found the thread where a 69 Camaro fuel tank was used. This will work best for the setup I intend to have. My question now would be is it best to buy a tank with in tank everything for the fuel injection, or is there a way to make the cheaper tanks and sending unit work well? It is for TBI, and some have a 3/8" fuel line and 1/4" vent line. Could this vent line be used as a return line and just have a vented cap? Using an inline fuel pump?
