Vent window broken

My vent window on my 67 c10 and I'm not seeing an easy solution to the problem. Is it possible I could throw in a tac weld to hold the window? I'm not really looking to but the whole frame for $200. A bit of help would be much appreciated. Thanks

Re: Vent window broken

In order to put any type of weld on that, you will have to open the door up and remove the spring-loaded pivot pin that is shown in the picture. The only thing keeping it from falling to the bottom of the door shell is the rubber weather stripping. In my opinion, you would be much better off just finding another used wing window assembly in the classified section. They can be had for much less than $200.
