Can tank from 69 Camaro without baffle be used in LS swap?

I am thinking about moving my 67 c-10 tank and ordering a 69 Camaro fuel tank from Tamraz. They say the tank does not have a baffle inside. If I ever do a LS swap will this tank work?

Try Tanks.inc,
get a fuel injection Camaro tank now,
then swap a pump into it later

If you are thinking of stepping up to fuel injection, buy the tank with the baffle installed. You need the baffle to keep the pump submerged, especially during cornering. Save yourself some money and hassle by buying the better tank right away.

Well said! OE style stamped steel tanks with baffles and provisions for submergible fuel pumps are really the way to go. Plus the cost is half of a stainless steel tank. Back in 2007 when I did my LS swap a Ricks Stainless Steel Tank was $1100 and then you still need a pump and sending unit.

I run a 2002 camaro tank, it was 75$ bucks used with a working pump. I have since upgraded but anyhow. Those stoked tanks are not baffeled and they work fine.

Thumbs up Re: Can tank from 69 Camaro without baffle be used in LS swap?

If you go EFI then most of the time a baffeled tank is the way to go.
The newer type pump housing have a built in baffel though to keep the pump from starving for gas.
The baffels will also help the fuel gauge from bouncing all over the place to.

Get out and drive the truck this summer and have some fun!
It sucks not being able to hear!

LWB trucks rule, if you don't think so measure your SWB!
After talking to tech support at Air Lift I have found out that the kit I need is 60811. Per the measurements I gave them. Ride height of truck inside spring and inside diameter of springs.
