Factory or aftermarket radiator cover?

Saw a post on CL for a K5 and noticed the radiator cover. Is this an aftermarket piece or were there factory parts that got left off after a rad replacement?

Re: Factory or aftermarket radiator cover?

I'm thinking aftermarket, although I seem to learn something new about these trucks all the time! I've never seen one like that before.

Re: Factory or aftermarket radiator cover?

That's a good question. I made a cover for my radiator a long time ago, because I didn't like the way it looked without. It would be cool to find out where that one came from. I'm going to make another one to try and keep any dents or tool marks off the panel. The hardest part is making the long bends along each side without bending or tweaking the whole thing.
