67-68 tow hook question

I went to the LIncoln Neb. swap and found a set of 67-68 tow hooks. Anyone got any pictures of how these things mount? My truck originally had tow hooks, but somone took them off. These 67-68 hooks are going on a 72, I think thats why im having problems. Any help would be appreciated, pics are worth 1000 words though.

Man, those drawings are very educational...but very entertaining as they give me quite the chuckle too... Hey if it works it works! If it works for two purposes even better eh?

The 67-68 will not fit 69-72 trucks properly. The 67-68 model trucks have different front leaf spring hangers then that of the 69-72 did. The 67-68 have smaller hangers which in turn gives more room to mount the odd shape hook of the 67-68 style. I hope this helps!
good luck!

This is how im going to have to mount them. Does anyone want to trade a set of 69-72 hooks for my 67-68 hooks. I have the curved ones and i need the straight ones. Thanks PM me. I dont want to sell, i want to trade. These hooks will be sandblasted and painted soon.

good luck. the 69-72 hooks bring about $100 more than 67-68 hooks. I would just make those work if I were you.
