Disc brake conversion pics and questions
Yes, I did review the relevant FAQ section about disc brake swaps but didn't find my answer.
So thanks in advance for the help. I have 3 questions. 1. Do I run the 3/16" line from the MC and prop valve to the front discs? 2. Do I run the 1/4" line to the rear axle flex hose? 3. Do I keep the rear axle 3/16" hard lines that come off the rear axle distribution block? The back story: I'm installing a CPP front disc brake kit in my 1965 C10. The CPP tech help line was not helpful. The CPP supplied front brake hoses that came with the kit have fittings for a 3/16" line. I will be using a 1995 Chevy Blazer Booster and MC. My current 1965 front drum brake lines are originally 1/4". Then the 1/4" line runs back to the splitting block at the back axle. The hard lines to the rear drums are 3/16". That's the original stock setup.

Re: Disc brake conversion pics and questions
When I did my swap I had already installed a dual circuit drum master and split the lines.
I installed the disc /drum master and prop valve I used the same rear hard line but had to switch the front one to 3/16

Re: Disc brake conversion pics and questions
That's great news. My memory was telling me something different so I'm glad to hear that the 3/16" line for the front is correct. The rear lines are essentially 3/16" as well since the rear lines at the axle are 3/16". That still has me scratching my head. I see no need to change the rear hard lines. I guess the proportioning block takes care of the whole issue. Maybe someone will comment.

But to answer your question, just measure the gap between the crossmember flange and the top section. Just match that distance. The photo is one I saved from someone else's post. I hope this helps.
