Questions about my 1969 C20

Hey Guys... Im new to this site. Thanks for reading my post..
I have a 1969 C20 long bed. 454 HO, TCI TH400 HD Trans and a Gear Vendor
410 Eaton FF Rear end. I want to Shorten it to a short bed but First I would like to drop some 5 Lug wheels on it. First question: Is there any reason I can't convert this truck to a 1/2 ton short bed ? I think the frame, bed and front end are pretty straight forward. My other question is the back end. I want to put a 9" in the rear with a wildwood break set up. I want to use Center line Convo Pro rims. I need to know if anyone else has this set up and I need a dimension for the width of the 9" housing (without any frame work) Not sure how to figure that out... Would like to run 15x12 wheels and dont mind tubbing the sheet metal back to the frame,
Any thoughts... Thanks
