72 front tow hook hardware size ??
My tow hooks weren't on from the factory so I would like to know what the factory hardware was to hold them on. This is for a 72.
Size, washers, etc. Thanks.

The bolts are 5/8" with 15/16" hex heads not sure about the length maybe 3 1/2" tractor supply grade 8

I just went out and looked at my 72 Blazer. The one you asked about the spid. No washers other than lock washers under the nuts.

Hey Paul thank you for the confirmation. Next time you are out there could you confirm the length for me. They look like the exact length needed with just a couple of threads exposed after tightening.

Not oem but heres what i have fwiw. Grade 8 cadmium that i had black phosphate coated.

Might want to throw a weld on the threads after you bolt them on. I did.

Thanks everyone.

When I dug out the set of Front tow hooks I had (bought off this board several years ago) they had the hardware with them that I had forgotten about.
Measured the same 2.5" that both Paul and Pete are showing.

I thought so. Well these hooks sell for what I consider quite a bit on this site so yes, I could see where anti theft measures would be attractive.
