I know it's an old thread but I just went thru the whole thread and what a shock at the end that you had to sell it, that sucks

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
I know. It kills me still that I had to sell. Things with business are looking quite good again, so hopefully someday I'll be able to buy this truck back. Talked to the new owner about 6 months ago, and he said he finished the interior, relocated the gas tank, beefed up the tranny, put power windows, and a/c in the truck., he said he'd sell (I didn't dare ask the price) lol

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
wow! 7 years since my dad and I finished the build, and I had to sell it. Time flies! The guy that bought it off me still has it. I talked to him today, and I'm going look at it on Thursday. Hopefully we can make a deal to get it back in my garage 👍🏼

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
Haha. The saga of the old Truck continues. I talked to the owner today, and looks like we have a deal. Im supposed to pick it up tomorrow.
It’s not currently running because the owner put on a Holley fuel injection system (a few years ago) and wasn’t able to get it tuned. But he put on quite a few upgrades (most listed here a couple years ago). The truck still looks the same just real dusty from sitting for who knows how long. I’m stoked to get it and take the boy for a ride (ps he was hoping I’d buy a viper or old Ferrari. Someday he will learn the treasure of a build).

Re: Project ROOKIE (BB, Bags, Short Fleet Frame off)
Crazy how time flies. I don’t even know how many people use the forum anymore. Here is the truck as it sits right now. It’s pretty much the same as it was 12 years ago. I just made a deal with someone to pickup their rolling chassis (cpp arms/trailing arms, willwood brakes, air suspension). I plan to do some updates from there (l96 6.0 with LSA). Interior is finally making progress too. My son is almost 12 now, and has been begging me to get this thing finished. :-)
