Fuel Line ?
Is there any Place or anybody that makes the small block Fuel Lines Pre Bent to there original shape from the pump up to the carb for Small Blocks?
I have my Alternator on the pass side and it just might get in the way of the fuel line for clearances. I bought a pre bent line from The Truck Shop in Orange that was for a 71-72 350 with 4 bbl Holley that matches the fuel pump outlet 3/8's fitting. I do have a 4 bbl Holley that's why I got that one. It didn't fit so I tried to make the bends a little different too fit my fitment. That didn't work. Any help would be Appreciated, Thanks |

Re: Fuel Line ?
You might want to try one for a 71-72 car instead of a pickup. They had the alternator on the passenger side. They also had a long water pump, but that shouldn't matter.

Re: Fuel Line ?
Bending one's own fuel line from Poly Armor tubing is a bit annoying and there is some trial and error but if a complete noob like me can do it, anyone can.
I bought a cheap Harbor Fake Tools bender from ebay.com and did a better job than factory. If you have access to a long table (standard workbench) you will do just fine. I used a Craftsman double flare kit for the bubble flares. |

Re: Fuel Line ?
I used a fuel line set from The Right Stuff Detailing (http://www.getdiscbrakes.com/fpc67zz) which was made for the 67/68 Camaro Z28s which used a Holley carb on a 302 cubic inch engine with a short water pump. As you can see in the link, it is out of stock. However, Inline Tube sells the lines and brass block separately (part numbers CCE6705 and CCE6710). I did have to do some minor tweaking.

Isn't a small block a small block is a small block? Maybe the Alt. is in the way from being on right side of engine being the problem! I think some Cars had it that way so why is it so hard to find a pre bent fuel line for a small block?? Whats next guys "rubber" I have that now & I want a cleaner look than that, any one can do "rubber" I am not that one. thanks Last edited by ck5566; 08-11-2016 at 12:24 PM. |

Re: Fuel Line ?
Here's a vote for Right Stuff over Inline. Inline has been nothing but grief and annoyance unless it's a 1969 Camaro small block. At least for me, your mileage may vary.

Re: Fuel Line ?
The fuel pump on a 305 is on the same place as it is on a 350, 327, 400, and so is the carb. What really matters is what side the alternator is on and the water pump.
I made my own fuel line out of braided nylon line and AN fittings. There is even a 7/8" -20 fitting available that threads right into a quadrajet with a -6AN male fuel inlet barb.
