Purely subjective: 67 small window vs.

What say you to small vs big?

Right now my project is dead in the water until I get a new cab. The thought of a small window is intriguing, so i'm trying to entertain all opinions on the subject.

Personally I like the big window best or Panoramic Cab as they were called.

I love the way the small windows look, but it sure is nice to have the added visibility of the large window.

I have had both and I too like the cosmetics of the small window but I would rather drive with the big window . It also depends on what mirrors you are using. The sport style are limiting as well.

I have a 67 with a small window, will convert to large window...some day...

When I was looking for a 62-66, the big back window was high on the list of desirable options.

Now that I have a 67 with the small window, I wouldn't have it any other way.

Seriously, the fact that 67 was the last year for the small window makes me like it more. I think it gives it a more "vintage" look.

I don't have either one but I always liked the look of the small window '67.....plus it's the only one of that generation to have the small window.....just my 2¢...

To me a big window looks too modern. Especially with the icky plastic 71/72 front end. But a fancy '67 big window short bed CST with all the cool hot rod type options is definitely a super nice ride!

Both cool of course. Big window is useful, small window is unique, uncommon and one year only. Take your pick.

On a side note, my 71 project is without side view mirrors at the moment, just rear-virw. I have driven it a few hundred miles, and I'd say I've looked over my shoulder a dozen times at least, to clear unobstructed view. Small window? I'd be needing those mirrors!!!

I thought they stopped building cool trucks in 67 ? Last small window many one year parts, First of the body style to hit 50 . The small back window can be made power let alone it screams classic ... I've bought big window trucks ...For parts

Small window all day any day. I get more complements and questions about the small window than anything else. Sorry the truck was dirty in the picture. We had been on a dusty ride. Plus I like the fact people can't see my every move through the back glass.

I like both, but since '67 was the only year in this body style that got a small window, it makes them more tempting. You could have a full-tilt loaded CST/Super Custom with small window and that would be super trick. If I drew a line in '67 (which I'd never do) it would be Stepside small window/Fleetside big window. Just because I see the small window as more old timey like a Stepside and the last of the continuous pickup tradition of a deluxe truck getting more back glass... all the way back to before such a thing as a Fleetside existed. Stepside were once just plain old pickup trucks... period.
I also like how a small window lends to roundness of the cab, has more mass to the truck look, and is more private. Nice way to keep the sun off the back of your neck as well.

The '67 looking truck I'm building from spare parts has a '72 can at this point. I'm still open to going small window and possibly Fenderside. I'd like to come across a decent small window cab just to have handy so I could build the next one with it and have one of each, a small window Fenderside and a big window Wideside. Never was good at decision making when it comes to passion. My solution to that is more more more

My 67 is the only vehicle that I drive where I pretty much never change lanes unless someone is going stupid slow in front of me. I just have to check my blind spot, so I can't imagine how goofy I look to people behind me craning my neck back to see what's in that corner. The tiny round mirrors don't help... I do like that it's unique and makes my truck immediately identifiable as a 67, even from the back.

I really think the small window fits the rest of the styling better, by far. Having seen both but driven neither, I'm sure a large window is much easier to drive. But if I had a pickup and it was small window, by golly I'd keep it!

Thanks for the replies everyone! It's interesting to get a different perspective on it. I like the looks of the small back window better, but enjoy the viewing benefits of the large back window.

I'm going to go look at a 67 cab later next week, hopefully it's in good shape.

Small window.

I have a 67 k10 (67 body on 71 k10 chassis)
and the small window does scream classic and it looks very neat on the 4x4.

With the small window being 67 only, it intrigues me more, less as common.

I've had both big and small, both long bed fleet btw, and I see the merits of all sides. It is kind of annoying knowing how much others can see in while driving, small does have a more classic look, and something in between (love that medium comment) would probably be pretty good looking. I gotta say big window though. Everywhere you turn is an unobstructed view creating less hassle and doubt as to what's there for a more enjoyable drive. Maybe my mind will change when I get around to getting fixing my interior mirror so it stays put and break free the rusty outside ones into better adjustment.
