Thanks everyone
Last night I bought a truck from "ChevyLand" one of our forum members. Eric was a pleasure to do business with and patiently showed me all the features of his beautiful truck. After the sale, he even showed me some of his others trucks that he is restoring. A very cool guy.
I began this journey 11 months ago when I originally started looking at 55/56 trucks. Over time, I realized that the 67-72 trucks were a better choice for my needs. I'm very grateful for everyone who responded to my newbie questions and gave me good advice on all the trucks I was considering. I'm sure that in the months to come, I'll be back to ask more questions and to keep a eye on Monroe, although I'm not sure what that thread is about. Anyway, here's a few pictures. Apologies if you've seen this truck before. Rob |

Re: Thanks everyone
Great looking truck with nice options. This is the way to get a truck, if funds permit, write the check, put in some gas and enjoy.

Re: Thanks everyone
Congratulations on a great looking purchase! I agree with Already Gone. Not all of us have the time, ability or space to build a truck. For me buying them mostly done fits very well. I have 2-3 years worth of boat restorations in front of me and most of my storage and working space is taken up with those. I love tinkering on the trucks as a diversion but building one from the ground up just isn't feasible. I know there is a lot of negative talk here about the rising prices of these trucks. As with classic and antique boats I fail see the negative side of higher prices. To me rising prices are a sign of a healthy hobby and the owners involved get to see somewhat of a return on their investment if they are significant trucks ( or boats) and money isn't over spent and they are kept long enough. At one point in history all older cars ( or boats) were just that, and old truck and value at the low point could be next to nothing. When new the cost of our trucks ranged from under $2000 to a little over $4000. Compare that to value today and they look like a pretty good investment to me.

Re: Thanks everyone
Picking up the white Cheyenne from Chevyland of the now famous Eric and Brad's Excellent Adventure thread. You might recognize the blue super next to it. Another shot on the way home.
