Another brake question
On a K20 are all power brake booster rods (the sort with eyelets in both ends) the same length ? Mine doesn't seem to adjust so that it's long enough. I put a new booster in, maybe it is thicker than the old one. Any help would be appreciated.

Bernie,
I am not sure what you have going on with your booster. Anyway, I measured two adjustment rods one from a K-20 and one from a C-20. Both are the same length, (9 1/4"). I measured an adjustment rod from a C-10 and it is 9 1/4". Jim |

Jim,
Thanks for measurements. The overal length of the brake rod that I have is 10 inches in the fully closed configuration and it adjusts to be an inch or so longer. My concern is that even with the rod at its longest the brake pedal is pretty close to the floor and doesn't seem to have any free play. There have been a couple of other posts on this issue recently. maybe that's just how they are ? Bernie

The pedal should not be that close to the floor. What is the height
from the floor? The measurements that I posted were pin to pin center distances. Jim |

I measured, I get 9 1/4 from pin to pin and 5 1/2 perpendicular from the back of the pedal to the floor. I think that I might have identified my problem in another post on this subject. I think that the rod should be on the steering column side of the pedal.
