Was an 8k Tach a factory option?

I see it in the catalogs, but not sure if it was factory or not.

I can't say for sure, but I doubt it. I've never seen an option code for it, and there were no high-winding engines sold in our trucks.

DZ302 rhymes with wheezy 402, but they don't rev the same.
