Removal of radio knobs?
Hi all. I have a 2005 GMC Envoy. Same thing as the Chevy trailblazer. My radio knob letters have peeled away, as is typical of many GM vehicles of that time period. Now the radio knobs just look white, instead of black with lettering on them, like they should. How do I get the knobs off?
I have watched several youtube videos, and most of them show that you press the inner knob in, while simultaneously pulling the outer knob, outwards. I did this, and I did it fairly hard. But I stopped because I don't want to break anything. Can anyone tell me how to remove the radio knobs on a 2005? I'm sure its the same radio as in many of the trucks and other GM vehicles of the day. |

Re: Removal of radio knobs?
Just because you see it on Youtube doesn't mean much. They have a video on there showing people how to drill a headphone jack hole in their brand-new iPhone.

Re: Removal of radio knobs?
Ah, cutting on brand new parts. Had to do it a time or two. Its always a good time... lol.
But yeah sometimes it does, other times not so much. The radio on youtube wasn't actually for an envoy, but many of them used the same radios. But, they may have had minor differences. So I thought I'd ask if any Envoy or Trailblazer guys had done this. |
