Newbie from Sacramento

Hi everyone. I'm in the process of buying a 72 Cheyenne Super and been a fan of this site but haven't had a pickup to post about. I've previously owned a 69 2wd short step and a 70 4wd short fleet but this is my first Cheyenne and I'm really stoked to save it from the fields. The lady that owns the property this truck is sitting on has finally decided to sell it to me after 4 yrs of stopping by and asking her if she'd sell it lol she's messing with the paperwork now but it should be in my garage in the next thirty days. The truck is black but when I took a peak at the spid in the glove box I noticed it says red orange so I was a little disappointed that it's not original. I want to restore to original but it will take a little time but will be worth it! See you guys around

Very nice find. Factory AC is the icing on the cake. Does not really look like it needs that much body and interior work.

Also the d89 stripe option is super cool and fairly rare too I think.

Thanks. The body is in good shape with maybe a dime size
Of rust on the driver rocker. The padded dash is toast. Other than
that for sitting for over 10 yrs it's in great shape

Re: Newbie from Sacramento

Congrats on the nice step side, very cool starting point. You are light years ahead of me when I bought my C20 that sat in a barn in Loomis for years, I didn't even know the difference between a C10 and C20! This is such an amazing site for gathering knowledge and getting help, seems there are experts in just about anything imaginable that has to do with these trucks.

Looks like you may have some Black Widows that call your truck home like mine did too!

Re: Newbie from Sacramento

These look great in Hugger Orange and being a Cheyenne Super is all that much better in my book. The D89 stripe adds a little something too since the later stepsides (71-72) were not offered with the bodyside moldings. So even a loaded Super went without.
