Newb from NC
I joined the site shortly after getting my 2nd 69 C10 and also started following on Facebook which I post on frequently and figured it was time to start following the forum more because there is a lot more information here than on FB.
I bought my current C10 and it looked good, ran good and I was pretty happy with it....but(you knew that was coming)it had some rust starting to bubble up through the paint on the rockers and I couldn't find anybody who was willing to fix it and I know nothing about body work so I lined up a painter who was a good friend and tore the truck down. We took all of the body parts to be blasted and holy cow, it was a bondo boat and we ended up replacing the entire bed, was able to repair the cab and re-skin the doors but the entire front-end was replaced with re-pop parts to. The truck has been finished for about a year and a half now and we put a SBC 406 with a B&M 350 Turbo that is good for 650 HP. We just finished changing the engine out last month and put a 5.3 in it along a 75mm Borg Warner turbo. She really goes now. I look forward to learning from the forum and hopefully contribute some also. Here is my baby |
