Re: Air bags

RideTech for rear cups and amazon. Firestone 2600 front and 2500 rear for me. But 2600 can be used rear as well.

Re: Air bags

of13swc, when you say easy on the wallet I'm not exactly sure what you mean. Let me introduce myself - I'm the CHEAPEST SOB you will ever meet in your life. I bagged just the rear of my 64 C-10. I bought a used air bag set up that originally came off a S-10. I got a Viair 380C compressor, steel braided hose with check valve, an air tank, air pressure gauge, a pair of ContiTech air bags and cups for the air bags for $100.00 off craigslist. I would have preferred Firestone bags but there's nothing wrong with the ConiTechs - as a matter of fact I again bought air springs for my 06 F-250 USED off craigslist so I could level it when towing my 8,700 LB travel trailer and they were also ContiTech bags. The S-10 cups for the air bags naturally didn't fit my 64 so I made my own from some scrap 4" pipe and 1/4" plate we had at work - over kill but it is what we had laying around in the scrap pile. The air tank was too big for my use and I just ran schrader valves to my bumper brackets but in hind site I would have mounted them to the unused holes in my license plate frame like I did my F 250. I leave my 64 bags at 45 PSI and the truck sits where I like it and rides great. I'm adding the compressor & tank to my F 250 so I can adjust it when towing my Travel trailer. 20 PSI when towing & 5 PSI empty. My 64 sits & rides perfect at 45 PSI & for my application there is no need to keep adjusting the air pressure for my C 10.

Re: Air bags

the "budget" kit from the az pro guys is definitely your best bet as far as cheap and reliable. its a great start. I went almost the identical package, pieced together myself. from there i put in a c notch, then cupped lower control arms, then took the c notch out and put a small step notch in..it kind of gets addicting the lower you go haha..but again. you can't get a more inexpensive kit that includes everything you need to get going. I also have that c notch and a pair of cupped lower control arms i would like to get rid of if your interested. good luck!
