Help me decide

I had a 72 C20 that I had planned to restore. Family had a move planned and that was sold. I'm starting to look for another truck and was thinking about a 67 or 68 C10. I like the fact the body is not as squared as a 72. Any pros or cons in in 67-72 time frame that makes one better than another?

67-68 seems slightly more desirable than 69-72. shortbeds are more desirable than longbeds, fleetsides over stepsides... v-8's over i-6's... the more factory options and trim level the more desireable. the more "survivor-ish" the better. all that being said, it comes down to preference. if you want to stand out buy a bare bones longbed stepside with a straight six! the only "must" (in my opinion) is the 67-72 era, and it sounds like you've already got that part figured out!

Disc brakes and power steering are a big plus, but you can always retrofit those. It really comes down to personal preference.

Oddly I prefer and think the 70-72 are more desirable, so there's a flavor for everyone.

Best advice I can give you is to get the most "extreme" version of whatever it is you want. If you want a small truck, get a C10 shortbox. If you want a big truck, get a K2500 GMC. Or know your goal so that if you wind up with a standard longbox you won't be sad that it's not a longhorn or shortbox, for example. Hard to change later.

Building a "luxury" camper/truck? Go 1972. Utilitarian? Go 1967. That sort of thing. Or at least aim that way.

I personally like the 67-68 slant nose trucks better myself. As far as advantages and disadvantages of the earlier vs later years of 67/72 go there are a few. The earlier years were more utilitarian and things like a/c were available but the number of trucks so equipped are more rare. It's much easier to find a 71-72 that has factory a/c, power steering as well as the higher trim levels. Then there the obvious with factory disk on the 71-72's. Not sure if it's an advantage or disadvantage but 67-70.5 rear axles are a little narrower than the later ones.

It all comes down to what you like, what you can afford and what you can afford to live with or without. Be super honest with yourself about your budget and time available to work on the truck. Since you don't seem to be dead set on a particular year I'd start looking at all 67-72's that meet the budget and time to work on it criteria. Take your time and you'll find the perfect fit.
