choke thermostat

Hi Guys, and Gals. I looking for a Choke Thermostat (new or used) for my stock intake, and Quadrajet. Do you know where I can find one. I checked the dealership, and it's not available. I checked net too, but with international shipping changes, it makes that small part expensive. thanks

The coil si still avaialble aftermarket here in teh states--I got mine from the local NAPA parts store. I found the housing and the rod in teh wrecking yard form a 1970 Impala. I think GM used these well into the 70s. Good luck--eh. Brian.

Yep , Nelson is right, I have bought them at Car Quest also. If all else fails Classic industries, OPG, The Paddock, NPD etc. all carry them for the most popular styles used, last time I looked the "kit" was about 20 bucks,

Try this part number at auto value stores if you have them there. Might work at other stores too.

Car Quest #CV 75 for the choke thermostat.
Choke rod and housing are still available from several sources.

Hate to bring this thread back to life but i am in need of the housing and linkage for my carb. I FINALLY found the coil but i cannot find the housing or linkage. Somehow the PO rigged it up to run without the choke thermostat or the choke pulloff. WHERE DO I FIND THE HOUSING OR LINKAGE???

Check Ecklers Corvettes. The Rochester 4 BBL is a very common and model common carb. The Corvettes are restored very heavily and so have a very high # of restoration parts. The intake and carb don't know the diferrence between Corvette and truck. I bought several of my truck parts there. Choke cover and rod included.

nu2-72, that Ecklers Corvettes site is great. They have three pages of choke parts listing GM year & engine applications and showing corresponding pics. Thanks.

I found a choke at Car Quest! It wasn't this exact one, but I "made it work". Even had to creat my own rod, because OEM wasn't going to work!
Also did some search on the net one day, and seen one for a 69 Camaro that look like the exact one that I need. It was very pricey
