Towing Mirrors
I'm looking to see some good towing mirrors for my 69 Suburban. I tow a 26' travel trailer and I'd like to see what others are using for towing. Any suggestions would be welcome. I know this is the truck forum but, I thought I might get more ideas here. Thanks

Re: Towing Mirrors
Im using the fender clip on mirrors from the 70's. I got mine at a local swap meet for 10.00. I see them all the time, cheap. They work well, the drivers side has a little blind spot due to the windshield post, but just takes some adjust of the mirror to get it right.

Re: Towing Mirrors
No problems with vibration. I only drive at most 63mph though.

Re: Towing Mirrors
Factory works like a charm:
Even run them on my '95 'Burb: Had them on an '84, too:

Re: Towing Mirrors
Not trying to hijack the thread, but does anyone know which strap-on temp auxiliary towing mirrors work best on the small factory mirrors from 69 through 72?

Re: Towing Mirrors
X2 on myoldtruck. This is exactly what I plan to do. I have the sport mirrors for looks and will use strap-on type for towing when needed.
I took off the factory big mirrors for a cleaner look and so they don't stick out as much in parking lots. Seems like the parking spaces are getting smaller and smaller. (or maybe I'm just getting bigger)

Re: Towing Mirrors
My Dad's 1970 CST/10 with the factory 3 point mirrors on it. I'm going to put the same mirrors on my 1972 C1500 if I can find some.

Re: Towing Mirrors
That's what West Coast Seniors were intended for - seeing around a big tow package! I don't have a picture of them extended, as they do go out very wide, but here's one contracted:
