1974 K10 does it any time I experience flex or hit a bump.

Re: 1978 Russet Metallic 4x4
Thank you. I've been trying to solve it for awhile. Also, did it feel like your floor flexed when it was happening as well?

Depends. Mine were brand new. It's the nature of lead springs that they may need some adjustment.

Re: 1978 Russet Metallic 4x4
I can't begin to describe how much I like this K5
I have always LOVED the plaid interiors. It's very refreshing to see people taking the time to revive them (or accurately recreate them as you did) rather than pitching the seats and installing basic LMC-type covers or going with another type altogether. I don't think SMC used to have the fabric in stock. Maybe they did and I just didn't ask the right questions. Oh well, making a thousand mile drive to get plaid seats in my trusty old Burb is a trip that will always be remembered. I'm curious about the dash pad and door panels that you had refreshed. Does it look original around the screw holes in the door panels and does the dash pad have the correct looking center speaker opening?

I'm sure they still have some. Grab the fabric numbers off the picture from the first page of the thread and give them that info. They gave me the picture. Thanks for the compliments.

The recover of vinyl looks great. The speaker holes are there like it's supposed to be.

This is indeed a rad blazer. Good work on keeping it alive. My '77 has the mandarin orange interior also. Dig it.

Re: 1978 Russet Metallic 4x4
Thanks brother. Still refining. I'm having a rear air deflector installed now. Then adding a CV driveshaft. Then a computer tune for the ramjet 350.

Any shots of the Ram-Jet? I've had 2 of those engines and they are fantastic. They really don't get the credit they deserve in my opinion.

Phillip: Not much to see. The aluminum intake has surface corrosion. I'm gonna send the computer out to get a better flash soon. Your truck is looking fantastic.

These are the guys I'm gonna try out: http://www.mefiburn.com/ramjettuning.asp
O2 sensors are great unless they're giving you hell. Could be cheaper too. |

Knocks the dust off the back glass. Old glass was replaced because it was scratched to hell. The dust will just accumulate on the rubber and tear things up.

Re: 1978 Russet Metallic 4x4
I found a good product for the rear aluminum panel on the Blazer. Mine had the normal chalky oxidation that looks dull and crappy.
I used this: And now it looks like this: Also, got this Tom Wood's CV Driveshaft with Shims in the other day. Need time to install: Last edited by buffydores; 07-19-2017 at 03:06 PM. |
