Weatherstrip on the doors?

I have tried using the search feature, but what I find is posts about the weatherstripping on the cab at the door openings. I'm trying to figure out if there is any weatherstrip glued on the door itself. I don't remember there being any there. If anyone has pictures I would appreciate it. Thanks.

The Precision brand push on seals are great. I just installed some on my '64.

Re: Weatherstrip on the doors?

I used the push on seals from Brothers Truck. The work great and the door closes nice.

Nothing goes on the doors, just the body opening. This install video will show you how to put on our push on style. It's a fairly easy job.

Re: Weatherstrip on the doors?

1960 and 61 had door weatherstrip on both the cab and door. Overkill. Not sure about 62-63 knee knockers. My 63 has only cab weatherstrip. 64-66 cab only door weatherstrip.

62 Barn Find, I know your post is older but did you install the Brothers weatherstrip specifically on your 62 C10? I have a 62 and installed the LMC Truck glue on weatherstrip and I have to slam the door 3 times to get them to close. I've heard all this Honda weatherstrip stuff and don't want to keep chasing my tail and spend more money. Getting ready to buy the Brothers Strip and want to make sure I'm not wasting my time, as I did with LMC.

Thanks

Re: Weatherstrip on the doors?

Right now i have both Honda on dr side and Precision on pas side. I org had the Honda on both sides. I installed the new Precision and if fits good as it's long enough for the 60-63, but the door closes a little harder than the honda w/s. I did not try to adj my door as my body lines are good and did not want the door to move out by adj it. I think each tk doors will fit differently on different tks. For me the 60-63 tks it's Precision.

The Honda strips fit your 65 but according to other posts on this subject, maybe not so good on the 62. I guess I'll try the precision push-on weatherstrip and see how they work. Thanks...

Re: Weatherstrip on the doors?

On 60-63 the Honda is about 4" short.

Re: Weatherstrip on the doors?

For a 60-63, you use three.

Actually about 6-1/2” I believe. If you go to a pick-n-pull, find some there, probably won’t cost $30 for three and then use one as the splice part.
