Frame weld
I found this a little while ago and wanted the board's opinion.
The Frame is welded together and the Engine mount is welded to it. Here is a pic:

Ditto. Too much work involved in a restoration type repair for that. Unless you have the engine out, or are doing a frame off.

I'd check closely on both sides of the A-arms....both sides of the truck....
Last one I saw like that had been wrecked...

I bet someone ran it without a bumper and it flexed alot.
I welded up a friends frame it cracked right by the shock mount I just beveled it out really well welded it ground it put a final pass with a 7018 and plated the inside. He never had any problems. |
