wifey not happy

weird problem hopefully someone can help with advice

door handles and locks were working fine manually with the button that sticks up through the door panel and also would lock and unlock with the keys.

problem came when i tried to use the power locks the button worked to lock both doors but the passenger door won't unlock now the power button won't unlock it or the button on top or the key the driver door is ok but wife can't get in on her side lol I asked her to climb through the window since i noticed she was wearing a skirt but she didn't see the humor in it.

Re: wifey not happy

My passenger side just broke a few weeks ago and I fixed it yesterday. The lock rod that sticks out of the top of the door inside (your interior lock), connects to lock mechanism AND the electric actuator.

In other words, at the 90 degree elbow that has a plastic securing clip, it goes into lock hole and then into the actuator hole. Basically, 2 in 1 job.

Before I could get into the truck so it stayed in the garage until I could get it fixed..

Re: wifey not happy

My passenger side door does the same thing from time to time. What I found is that the exterior door button partially sticks in the "in" position, so I have to push and release the outside button as fast as I can to make it pop out. It probably needs some lubrication or a new outside door handle but I haven't had the time to work on it. Hope this helps.
