License Plate Bracket
I've been reading this forum for awhile now but this is my first attempt at posting. Hopefully the picture works OK, if not, be patient and I will try again.
I bought a license plate panel from lmc and got it last night. It's too wide for the opening in my bumper. My opening width measures 15". I'm confused by this. My bumper looks like the sport bumpers that everyone else has on these trucks. Is there something I'm missing? I only see one license plate panel option. Thanks for all the help and I've already learned so much from this group. |

Re: License Plate Bracket
Is it supposed to mount from the rear of the bumper? I know my 73 suburban the plate panel mounted from the rear of the bumper.

Re: License Plate Bracket
Ok I see what your saying now. I'll give it a try when I get home. If it works I'm going to feel like an idiot, but I'd be a bigger idiot for sending back the right part. Thanks for the help.

Re: License Plate Bracket
You're correct on your measurements. The bracket installs from the backside of the bumper, see picture. Mine measures 15" also. You'll have to remove those two brackets that are hanging down first. The bracket takes four carriage bolts to assemble. Hope this helps.

Re: License Plate Bracket
Thanks guys. I'll try it out when I get home. I hadn't seen one assembled before and this makes sense. Can't believe I didn't figure it out earlier.
