77 Silverado back of cab and bodyside molding

I have recently purchased a 77 Silverado and am in the process of re-doing a few things. One of those is re-painting it. I will also be installing the body side moldings back on it. I have searched the forum and haven't been able to find an answer to my questions so here they are.

1. How can I go about restoring the mounding on the back of the cab? It is pretty dull looking.

2. I on the backside of the upper cab corners and lower front bedsides, I can see where someone filled the holes for the side moldings. Does anyone have a template or suggestions on how to get the rest of the moldings in the proper place. I can drill these few holes I can find from the backside to get a starting point. Maybe this is all I need.

Any help would be appreciated.

Jay

By the way, here is a pic of the truck.
