Radiator Fan Shroud

I'm in the process of putting my truck back together from a total tear down. Almost ready to put the front core support back in place. Today I gave the radiator fan shroud a good bath and scrubbing. Shroud is in good shape and cleaned up pretty well but doesn't look very good contrasting against all the fresh paint around it. Is there a way or method to make these shrouds look better?

SEM trim black worked for me.

Use a scotch brite pad and really clean the surface you can use dawn soap/water to help the process ,then wipe it down with 3M prep solvent 70 or just lacquer thinner ,then use a couple light coats of Matte clear , This really works good on the A/C - heater box also . Matte clear must be sprayed in very light coats with ample dry time between coats . It works for me .

I wouldn't paint it if you want it to appear original and like new. I may be criticized for this, but, if you've cleaned it thoroughly without using abrasives and it isn't covered with scratches, try applying a protectant such as ArmorAll or Son Of A Gun then wipe it off almost immediately. Personally, I prefer Son Of A Gun. The shroud will stay looking good (and original) a long, long time. I also used it on the evaporator box and it looks new.
