Headlight question
I seen tonight on the one of the Facebook groups guys installing aftermarket led headlights. I am interested in some so I can have brighter lights. My question is, they day they are direct plug and play. Nothing else needed except maybe a little trimming in the core support. Anybody have experience with these? Also, the headlights have hi/low in one bulb. How can I use these on a GMC??

Re: Headlight question
I tried a set off eBay, and they plugged in easy, and had good light. They were one set of terminals only, not a high/ low combo, but these did not fit in the dish well. I trimmed back enough to get the wiring through, but was still a long way from getting the retainer on.
I returned them, and would love to find a version closer to the h5005 profile. |

Re: Headlight question
My son just installed a set in his 86 with 4 headlights. Plug and play.
The top two rows of the low bulb light are on in low beam and then the remaining rows AND the lower bulb turns on for high beam. Simple, and inexpensive. i did however advise him to keep the old ones for the fix it ticket...

Re: Headlight question
Thanks for the responses. Right now I'm having trouble finding a light that I think will fit. Most I find are for motorcycle headlights. Not sure where to find the ones I was wanting.
