Re: wtb 68 horn button

I'll take it. How do u want the $ ? Paypal? Just let me know. I just restored a '52 "stovebolt", haven't seen that term since being on that part of site. It had wrong/tampered with vin # on engine. Which it was titled by- wrong #. So Va. state police wanted block!!! Illegal in Va. to posses a motor with a Vin # on block that has been tampered with in any way. They met me at the crusher/junkyard and destroyed the block!!!! Replaced with a 235. One ? Is the material different in the polished horn buttons, like aluminum, from the painted (?) ones. It doesn't look alum. from pics. If same "pot metal" ( I'm assuming) why don't they rust? Just wondering. I bet the polished one is stainless steel and the painted ones are pot metal, just guessing.

Re: wtb 68 horn button

I didn't get to buy it. 70Stovebolt sold it to somebody else. Got "stepped on" with no communication. So much for protocol . I'll just chalk it up to experience. If u want something, u gotta jump fast! He did apologize which was nice. Any more out there?

Is the unwritten rule not to give 24 hours for a response? That is what I did, if you look at the posts in this thread, it was almost 48 hours before the OP responded after I posted pics.

Re: wtb 68 horn button

The written Rule #9 says " If the purchaser does not contact you within 48 hrs. you may go on to next in line." #3 says "All sales must be posted in the thread, a reply stating who is in line is also suggested. Accepting sales via private messages will result in confusion within the thread and is strictly prohibited. " It's not a big deal for me 70 stovebolt. I got a horn button and all is good. I appreciated people like you that are willing to sell "extra" parts that someone might need or want. Heck, I broke rule # 11. Well, sort of - it says- "If you have a problem with the BUYER, contact forums administrator. Do not bring problem to forum". While technically I didn't break the rule 'cuzz I am the "BUYER", I would like that rule to say "buyer or seller". So all is good by me, lets just drop it. I'm confident You didn't do it on purpose and you immediately apologized. Case closed as far as I'm concerned. And yes, I would do business with you again.
