292 with air?

Did a 292 come with air? The cab on my 1 ton has all the air stuff in it and I also have the part that goes in front of the radiator, a dryer and POA valve for it. Unfortunately all the hoses have been cut so I would have to get new. What I would need is the mounting brackets and compressor. Probably have to switch back to points distributor also as the compressor would mount over top of the dist. Does anybody know if 250 brackets would fit because there is a '78 PU in a local yard with air. I had my son bid on a three groove pulley on E-bay that a board member had for sale and this is what got me thinking of putting the air on.

Any body got the parts I need or know if 250 stuff will fit?
Heck, I might even try putting on power steering.

Here is a pic of the correct brackets for a 6. If you have an LMC catalog there is a good schematic in there too. I will be adding AC and PS to my 250. If you use this style of bracket you cant use HEI.

Maybe I'll just get the bracket off the 250 in the junk yard and see if it fits. Have to measure first I guess. I wonder if the power steering off of it would fit?

As far as I know it should, do you have a factory assembly manual? There are a ton of pics in there of AC on 6's if not I will post a few pics from the book tommorow.

i found a mid 80's C/10 in the jy with a 250 and factory ps, i made a post on here to see if i should get it or not. i was told that the brackets are different for the integral head motors, and the only piece that would swap was the pump itself. of course, the '78 might not be integral head.

Here's a picture of a A/C bracket of a 75 Nova with a 250. It had the early HEI without the coil in the cap. I sold it on that auction site. I have other oictures of the bracket email me for them.

Gee_emm I do have an assembly manual. Thanks for the replies everybody. Will hit the Junk Yard when I can, its raining today and that place is really muddy. Next day off is next week. Will get the stuff off the '78 PU with the 250. It is a U-pull it and are usually really cheap.
