Rear end swap question
I know before you say it,"theres a search function"
I've done that here and everywhere and maybe I'm missing it, who knows so I'm asking directly I've got 52 3100 and I'm going to be installing a 4 link with bags. most likely the TCI kit unless y'all say otherwise. I want a rear end as narrow as possible to get the widest tire possible without moving the stock frame rails, I have access to a 2WD S10 rear and from what i can measure it seems too close to call without having things apart. I understand i will have to cut for wheel tubs as deep as the stock frame rails and I am prepared to do that. Does anyone know from experience if a 2WD S10 rear end will work with stock frame rails? OR know the absolute smallest measurement i can go? so ill know what to look for |

Re: Rear end swap question
Thanks for the prompt reply but I'm looking for anyone who actually fit a 2WD rear into stock frame rails and if it worked.
measurement wise it seems like it would but before i start this project I want to make sure i have what i need so i don't have any delays. at least at little as possible |

Re: Rear end swap question
I know the frame is about 46" wide in that area. The 54.5" would only leave you 4.25"to the wheel mounting point.
It's really going to depend on wheel width and offset. |
