Re: Just another old truck.
Great job, Earl. I'm always impressed at how you can come up with neat ideas and then make your ideas happen. Even better, you make them happen without spending a lot of money.

Re: Just another old truck.
Great work Earl!
It surprises me every time to see which parts you make out of different car parts. Keeps the costs down and is really fun to do!!

Re: Just another old truck.
Hi RockinKees, thank you. Most of the time I know what I want to change or have the end product look like. That's where the enjoyment or fun kicks in. Figuring out how to get there. I've used up the two old doors that I had that were rusted out on the bottoms. I'm keeping my eyes open for a new source of material. Thanks again.
Earl

Re: Just another old truck.
Well here it is 3 hours before midnight on the last day of 2017. Happy New Year to all of the people on the east coast.
I wanted to relocate the key off of the column so when the key got stuck a few weeks back this was the time to do it. What I didn't know was how I was going to change it or where it would be. It ended up to be fairly easy because I didn't have to do any rewiring. I left a little extra wire when I wired my truck (one of those just in case things) so no problems there.

Re: Just another old truck.
Next set of pictures. Now the switch is installed and functions just like I wanted it to. Sometime soon I fill in the key hole in the column to get that cleaned up. I've got all the parts and pieces to put in the hidden switch to work as the key would. On to the next project.
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE Earl aka Clarance J

Re: Just another old truck.
Neat idea! Nice work Earl. Will you have an off on switch somewhere?

Re: Just another old truck.
Thanks Doug. As for the switch I have all the parts and pieces to put a circuit interruptus somewhere. Just haven't figured out how and where its going to be installed.
Thanks Kim. Earl

Re: Just another old truck.
MiraclePieCo. Thanks for that.
Thanks Rods57. All I have left is the inside half of one door. No more original steel to work with after that. Earl
