I'm converting my drums to disc, starting tomorrow...
You can have one of the ones currently on my truck...67 C 10...so long as I can get it out. I will pm you tomorrow after I get it out... |

Re: Front drum anchor bolt
Mine was driver side too. Man I had to cut the nipple off so could get a better grip. That didn't work so I had to cut the brake cylinder off and then cut the piece that was behind brake cylinder. It came out easy after that.

Re: Front drum anchor bolt
Have the anchor pin and lock plate out and cleaned up for you.
Pm me to arrange shipping. Suggest best to wait until IRMA has passed...as I see you are in FL... Stay safe mate... |

Re: Front drum anchor bolt
Carefully heat it with a torch, and melt a little candle wax into it while tapping on it. Then hit it with the impact again. This is an old gear head tech tip that hasn't failed me yet.

Re: Front drum anchor bolt
I have had much success using an 1 1/8" deep impact socket over the bolt, smacking the end of the socket with a 5lb hammer, then using an electric 1/2" impact gun...
If it doesn't come out, I usually try tightening it, then trying the reverse direction...have removed probably 100 this way... "Fire24"...parts are ready to ship, just waiting on IRMA to finish her run... |

Re: Front drum anchor bolt
The smack on the deep socket is to loosen any rust within the threads...
The impact saves many a skinned knuckle...trust me... Timing of impact...not important... |
