New battery cables.

Do you buy wire and make your own or is there a supplier for new battery cables to fit our trucks?

Re: New battery cables.

Your 1972 was originally equipped with a side terminal battery. If you want original, you'll also need a side terminal battery based on your pictures in your other thread. Here's the link to Roger's side terminal battery cables.

The top terminal spring ring cables he sells are correct for the GM cars of this era but ARE NOT correct for 67-70 trucks so I won't post a link. Lectric Limited claims to have correct cables for the top post batteries, but they are also spring ring. I sent Lectric Limited an email a couple months ago advising them of this. I don't know if they've addressed it. The cables they sell for the early Corvettes do have the correct terminal ends.

Cool man, thanks. I had first looked on two popular site vendors but didn't see any battery cables.

I have never had experience with side terminal batteries....are they annoying to deal with?

Not annoying at all. I've had them on many cars and trucks. In my opinion, they are less prone to corrosion.

May be but I think I'd rather have top ones, just easier for me to get at.
