Question 1971 C20 - Heavy Rear Spring question.

Hey there,

Purchased a 1971 C20 earlier this week. After looking at the original order sheet on the back side of the glove box door I noticed the following: "G50 | HEAVY REAR SPRING". What exactly is this referring to? The rear leaf springs? Would this make any difference if I wanted to order rear shocks for the truck?

Re: 1971 C20 - Heavy Rear Spring question.

I believe G50 = HD springs. Leafs would be called out on the SPID, if ordered, as G70.
EDIT: didn't mean to type "coils" - if you have G70 and G50 both, then you have HD rear leafs.
