Re: 64" spring swap?

I got home with enough daylight to get under the truck and take a look at things this evening, and there is no way 64s will fit with the stock saddle tanks. The front spring hanger is right beside the tanks with maybe an inch or two clearance at best. Obviously the way the K5 guys get away with it is because of their rear mounted fuel tank which clears the real estate for the hanger to move forward.

So far as moving the rear hanger back to fit 56" springs it looked like there was enough room on the frame to do it, but would likely run into small interference with the receiver hitch mounting hardware... possibly doable with some more planning and ciphering... I do have a set of F*%d 57" rear springs that I may measure to see how they work out. But honestly I dont know if the juice would be worth the squeeze for 5" longer springs.

Oh well, time to work on a different plan.
