crossmember kit

I'm lowering my 71 swb fleet with a 4/5 drop from ece, I was wondering if anyone has used their trailing arm cross member kit and do I need it for this drop. I don't want my one piece driveshaft to rub.

Re: crossmember kit

I dropped mine 4.5/6 and have a one piece drive shaft in my 68. By the looks of it I think a factory one will possibly hit if you hit a pothole or something. I used a drop member and have 1-1/2" clearance with no bed installed. Once the extra weight is added it will surly be a little closer.
